Summary:

Patented TheraGuard® pressure redistribution pads offer a revolutionary approach to the prevention and treatment of decubutis ulcers in acute care, long term care, and home care settings. TheraGuard® pads are proven to reduce pressure distribution below 32mm Hg when used properly.

TheraGuard: A new weapon in the fight against decubitus ulcers

Stage III and IV decibutus ulcers are now considered Serious Reportable Events, and facilities are facing the threat of reduced third party payments for treatment of applicable patients.

Standard treatment options are limited to pressure-reducing mattress overlays and gel or foam cushions for elbows and heels, with expensive dynamic overlays and air-fluidized mattresses reserved for more severe cases.

TheraGuard® pressure redistribution pads were developed to reduce the incidence and the treatment cost of decibutus ulcers. Both the anthropomorphic design and the pad composition are proprietary.
